The Bank of Marion honored recently retired Board of Directors’ member, David F. “Jim” Bear, Jr. for his 18 years of service to The Bank of Marion and its Board of Directors with a $4,000.00 donation to the Rural Retreat Depot Foundation.
“The renovation of the depot is a vital piece of the “Town Square” initiative of our town and will be the centerpiece. The Rural Retreat Depot Foundation has done and continues to do a terrific job in this endeavor under the leadership of Mr. Jerry Hurt, President, Rural Retreat Depot Foundation. I am grateful to The Bank of Marion for this donation in my honor,” said Jim Bear. “The Bank of Rural Retreat, a branch of The Bank of Marion, is a vital part of the business community here and their “giving back to the community” will be well received. Betty and I are very pleased with this gift to our community. Thank You!”
